Lactation Services

If this feels familiar, you're not alone.

If any of the below challenges feel familiar, you don’t have to keep figuring it out on your own. These challenges are common—and they are exactly the kind of things lactation support can help with. With the right guidance, feeding can feel more comfortable, confident, and connected.

Pain With Latching

You brace yourself every time your baby latches because it hurts - even if it gets better after a moment.

Worry About Supply

You’re unsure if you’re making enough milk and consider pumping for reassurance, but it’s leaving you stressed.

Baby Isn't Awake

Your baby keeps falling asleep during feeds, no matter what you try.

Latching Struggles

Your baby has trouble latching well - slipping off or not opening wide enough.

Birth Impacted Feeding

Your birth didn’t go as planned, and feeding has felt harder since - now you’re looking for support.

Feeling Unsure or Overwhelmed

You’re questioning if you’re doing it “right” and just want reassurance, guidance, and support.

Meet Coley

74C06135-333x500

Hi! I’m Coley, a Licensed Dental Assistant and Certified Lactation Counselor—and a proud wife and mom of four.

As a mom of four—each with their own unique feeding journey—I’ve personally experienced both the challenges and the rewards of breastfeeding.

My own breastfeeding journey didn’t come easy. With my first baby, I experienced pain, frustration, and moments of sitting on the floor in tears, unsure of where to turn for help. That experience is what fuels my passion today.

In my work as a lead assistant in tongue and lip tie revisions, I began to see a clear gap—families often needed more support before and after procedures, not just during them. That realization is what inspired me to expand our practice to include lactation care.

I love being part of the clinical side of care, but what means even more to me is walking alongside moms and babies as they build a confident, comfortable feeding journey.

If feeding feels hard—or even if it doesn’t—you’re welcome here. Support doesn’t require a problem. Sometimes it’s about reassurance, education, and simply knowing you’re on the right track. Lactation care can be preventative, supportive, and empowering at any stage of your journey.

What To Expect

Your appointment is calm, private, and centered on you and your baby.

We’ll talk through your feeding journey, observe a feeding, and complete a weighted feed to assess milk transfer. I’ll also evaluate latch, positioning, and complete an oral function assessment.

Before you leave, you’ll have a clear, personalized plan and next steps so you feel confident moving forward.

From Our Clients

"Nothing but great things to say about Dental Health Associates!! Huge shoutout to their lactation consultant Coley for being an amazing support person! My 2 month old had a lot of tension due to a pretty traumatic birth. He wasn’t able to latch without a nipple shield and nursing was a struggle. Coley was able to observe a nursing session and give helpful tips and support for a better nursing experience. That made such a difference! Our little one’s been in to the chiropractor and had his tongue tie revision a little over a week ago and we’ve seen such improvement! 3-5 days after the revision he’s been able to latch and get a full feed without the shield. Some days are better than others and it’s not perfect yet but we’re so thankful we took advice and went with the revision."

Sydney H.

"I had my son’s lip & tongue tie done here and I have nothing but good things to say! Right from the beginning everyone was so kind & helpful. While filling out paperwork my son was fussy and I was bouncing him in his carrier, one of the ladies at the front desk offered to bounce him for me so I could finish my paperwork! Dr. Schmidt was thorough, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable and did an overall great job explaining things. Coley was our dental assistant and she also explained things very well and made me feel well informed and comfortable and was overall very personable and kind. The facility itself is very nice, comfortable, and clean. Definitely would recommend this practice to others!"

Danika F.

"Dr. Schmidt and his assistant Coley were so knowledgeable and kind. They take such great care of my children and just did a tongue and lip tie revision on our new baby! The process was simple and effective, and the changes were noticeable immediately!"

Evan E.

"Had a great experience here. Everyone was friendly and professional, they listened to our questions, they were respectful and thorough with their answers, and the procedure went very well. We came here for a lip revision on our 10-day old baby and I was scared to have anyone working on such a young child. They were very good with her, very gentle, and I was very happy with how they handled the whole process. Overall would highly recommend!"

Vi R.

"We had my 5-day-old’s lip tie corrected with an laser and it was a great experience. They were extremely knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable. Afterwards they offered us a room to use to nurse and get our baby settled. They also sent me remedies to help heal sore nipples. I would highly recommend Dental Health Associates."

Danielle L.

"Super quick about getting us in for our infant and also be willing to look at our toddler! Coley and Dr. Schmidt truly care and took good care of our baby during the quick procedure!"

Meghan B.

"They took away all the nerves I had walking in with my little one concerning a lip tie. We left with comforting answers and insight. Nothing but professional & personable care."
